Hurricane Ike Recovery in Galveston

One of the things that has bothered Galvestonians so badly in the past few months is loss of so many of the Galveston’s trees.  Oaks, magnolias, and crepe myrtle trees all suffered greatly from being flooded with salt water.

Crews have removed trees from most of the city right-of-way, and they are now working on trees on private property.

The deadline to apply for assistance in removing trees from your property is November 15.

Click here for details from the City website and access to the application.

By the way, don’t forget to replace those trees on your property that were killed.
